Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a simple, tax-efficient way to support Hounds for Heroes through regular donations taken directly from your salary. Because donations are made before Income Tax is deducted, your donation costs you less while helping us provide life-changing assistance dogs.
How Payroll Giving Works
Also known as Workplace Giving or Give As You Earn (GAYE), Payroll Giving allows you to donate directly from your salary before Income Tax is deducted. Your donation is taken automatically each payday, and you can increase, reduce or stop it at any time.
What Does Payroll Giving Cost?

These examples apply to taxpayers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Income Tax rates are different in Scotland.
Why Choose Payroll Giving?
Payroll Giving is an easy way to provide regular support.
- Your donation costs you less because it is made before Income Tax
- Giving is automatic each payday
- You can change or stop your donation at any time
- Regular support helps us plan for the future
How to Set Up Payroll Giving
There are two ways to get started:
Speak to your employer
Ask whether they offer a Payroll Giving scheme. They can help set this up so your donation is taken directly from your salary each payday.
Sign up through Hands on Payroll Giving
You can also register directly through Hands on Payroll Giving and choose Hounds for Heroes as the charity you'd like to support.
If your employer does not currently offer Payroll Giving, you can direct them to our Payroll Giving for Employers page.
