Help shape the next generation of Hounds for Heroes assistance dogs by volunteering as a Puppy Parent or Fosterer.
No previous experience is needed. We’ll provide the training, guidance and ongoing support you need to help a puppy or dog develop the skills and confidence they need for a future partnership.
Depending on your availability and lifestyle, you can support our dogs as a Puppy Parent, Full-time Fosterer or Part-time Fosterer.

Each role offers a different way to support a Hounds for Heroes dog through their training journey.
What Support Will You Receive?
You’ll work closely with our dog training team throughout your volunteering journey. Hounds for Heroes provides training, ongoing guidance, food, equipment, veterinary care and insurance for every puppy and dog in training.

Support one of our puppies from around 8 weeks old through their early development and foundation training.
Care for a dog in advanced training outside of their training day and help them progress towards partnership.
Provide weekend or holiday support to our Full-time Fosterers and help dogs continue their training in a home environment.
