Support a Hounds for Heroes dog through advanced training and help prepare them for a future partnership.
Once our dogs move on from Puppy Parenting, they usually live with a Full-time Fosterer while completing their advanced training. You’ll provide a stable home environment outside of training and help them continue developing their skills and confidence.
What Does the Role Involve?
As a Full-time Fosterer, you will:
- Provide a safe and suitable home
- Bring your foster dog to training when required
- Continue agreed training and routines at home
- Provide regular exercise, socialisation and enrichment
- Keep in regular contact with our training team
- Attend veterinary appointments when needed
What We Provide

- All food and essential equipment
- Veterinary care and insurance
- Training and ongoing guidance
- Support from our dog training team
- Reasonable travel expenses where applicable
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need to:
- Live within approximately 25 miles of our HQ in Petersfield
- Be available for training drop-offs and collections
- Be at home for much of the day
- Have access to a car
- Have a fully fenced and secure garden
- Follow our training guidance and positive training methods
