At Hounds for Heroes, we're proud to be one of them.
Many people see the finished partnership between an assistance dog and the person whose life they've helped change. What they don't always see is the community behind it.
Every partnership begins with people. Puppy Parents opening their homes. Volunteers giving their time. Fundraisers, donors, grant makers and corporate supporters helping make every stage of training possible. Together, they help our dogs grow from playful puppies into highly skilled assistance dogs.
And our support doesn't stop there. We continue to stand alongside every partnership throughout its lifetime, providing ongoing aftercare for both dog and partner whenever it's needed.
As a small charity, we simply couldn't do any of this alone.
This Small Charity Week, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helps make our work possible. Every act of kindness, every hour volunteered and every pound raised helps create life-changing partnerships for physically disabled serving and former members of HM Armed Forces and the UK Emergency Services.
