Meet Pickle, our puppy with a naval namesake
There’s a new face we’d love you to meet. Pickle is a gorgeous black Labrador puppy who’s been discovering the big wide world from her puppy buggy. So far, she’s been taking it all in and being the loveliest little pup along the way. She also happens to be Jack’s sister!
Pickle’s name has a story behind it. HMS Pickle carried news of the victory at Trafalgar back to Britain, making her name a fitting choice for a puppy sponsored by the Senior Rates’ Mess aboard HMS Victory.
The Mess has supported Hounds for Heroes for years, and we’re so grateful they’re now part of Pickle’s journey. Their dog sponsorship will help support her care and training as she grows.
Thank you also to Pickle’s breeder for giving her such a wonderful start, and to her Puppy Parents and trainer for helping her explore the world. We can’t wait to share more of her adventures with you!
