Meet Astra, a New Hounds for Heroes Recruit
We're delighted to introduce Astra, the latest addition to the Hounds for Heroes family.
Astra's journey is being made possible thanks to the incredible support of Aquila Air Traffic Management Services, whose sponsorship is helping fund her training towards becoming a life-changing assistance dog.
The name Astra was chosen to reflect the Royal Air Force's journey together, making it a fitting name for a puppy who will one day support a physically disabled serving or former member of HM Armed Forces or the UK Emergency Services.
As Astra progresses through training, she will develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to become a trusted assistance dog and lifelong companion.
