Hounds for Heroes celebrates ERS Silver Award recognition
Hounds for Heroes was proud to attend the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award presentation, celebrating our achievement of ERS Silver status alongside organisations from across the UK committed to supporting the Armed Forces community.
Earlier this year, the Ministry of Defence announced that 331 organisations had achieved ERS Silver status for 2026, recognising their sustained commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community through the Armed Forces Covenant. We are incredibly proud that Hounds for Heroes is among this year's recipients.

The award recognises employers who go above and beyond in demonstrating their support for serving personnel, veterans, Reservists, military families and the wider Armed Forces community.
The presentation ceremony also provided a fantastic opportunity to celebrate alongside fellow Silver Award recipients, make new connections and hear about the inspiring work taking place across the Armed Forces community. It was a pleasure to meet the team from Citrus Facilities Management, and we look forward to staying in touch.
A special thank you goes to our Head of Income & Partnerships, Deborah Pick, whose dedication and hard work behind the scenes helped secure our ERS Silver Award.
Representing Hounds for Heroes at the event were our CEO, Kate Phipps-Wiltshire, and Trustee, Peter Ketley.
As a charity dedicated to empowering injured and disabled members of the UK Armed Forces and Emergency Services through specially trained assistance dogs, we're honoured that our commitment to the Armed Forces community has been recognised in this way.
