Blaze and Comet, half-brothers with big personalities, have recently been putting their training into action on public transport.
As part of their journey to becoming Assistance Dogs with Hounds for Heroes, the duo have been practising bus travel, learning how to hop on board, settle calmly and stay focused despite the movement and bustle around them. These experiences are an important step in preparing them to support their future partners in everyday situations.
During their outing, Blaze and Comet also explored a shop environment, helping them build confidence as they navigate different spaces, sounds and distractions they may encounter in daily life.
Every new experience brings them closer to their Public Access Tests and one step nearer to the day they can begin transforming the lives of their future partners.
