We were delighted to welcome Liz Mead and her colleagues to Hounds for Heroes HQ, where they had the opportunity to meet Warrior, one of our assistance dogs currently in training.

Warrior’s name was made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of the Isle of Wight Cadet Forces – Sea, Army, Royal Marine and Air Cadets. The cadets previously completed a challenging 56-mile Round the Island Relay along the Isle of Wight coastal path over two demanding days to support Hounds for Heroes.

Their determination and teamwork helped support the training of a dog who will one day partner with a physically disabled member of the Armed Forces or Emergency Services, providing practical assistance and helping to restore independence.

It was a pleasure to welcome Liz and her colleagues to meet Warrior and see first-hand how support like this helps us continue our life-changing work.

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone involved.
