Helen Celebrates Her 60th Birthday with a Fundraising Wing Walk
A huge thank you to Helen Ferguson-Kelly, who marked her 60th birthday by taking on an unforgettable wing walk to raise funds for Hounds for Heroes.
Rather than receiving birthday gifts, Helen asked friends and family to make donations to the charity instead. Inspired by her family's connections with HM Armed Forces and her love of dogs, she wanted to support Hounds for Heroes and help create more life-changing assistance dog partnerships.
Speaking before the challenge, Helen said:
"Wing walk? Why not? I like to challenge myself every so often, to prove to myself that I'm not stuck in my ways. You only live once – go on, challenge yourself!"
Helen certainly lived up to those words, completing the challenge in style before celebrating with friends and family.
Everyone at Hounds for Heroes would like to thank Helen for her incredible generosity, courage and support. Choosing to celebrate such a special birthday by fundraising for our charity is truly appreciated, and every donation will help us continue training, partnering and supporting assistance dogs for physically disabled serving and former members of HM Armed Forces and UK Emergency Services.
