A very big thank you to Helen Fergusson-Kelly, our wing walking fundraiser who wanted to see in her 60th birthday with a difference! She decided that she didn’t want any gifts & would prefer donations to charity, luckily for us we were Helen’s charity of choice due to her family connections with HM Armed Forces & her love of dogs. Helen said “I enjoy the company of a dog, it makes you think of another creature which is dependent on you and is often a way of meeting and talking to other people from outside your usual circle.”
Helen told us “Wingwalk? Why not? I like to challenge myself every so often, to prove to myself that I’m not stuck in my ways. You only live once, go on, challenge yourself!” Helen certainly achieved that!
So what was the review from Helen after the event? "I had an absolutely fabulous time & thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with friends in the evening!" We here at Hounds for Heroes think that is a well earned celebration & we would like to wish Helen a very happy birthday for the big day in early August.
