John Wheeley MBE is a retired Lieutenant Colonel who serveda full career as an officer in the Royal Engineers. On retirement he and his family moved toClanfield where they met Alan and Endal. Frequent contact and evolving friendship resulted in them providing ahome for Cluny, a black Labrador who, due to an injury sustained during puppytraining, could no longer continue to be trained as an assistance dog and hadto be re-homed. This turn of events ledto their involvement with Allen in order to achieve his inspired vision offorming the Charity. He is also HonorarySecretary of The Queens Gurkha Engineers Association.
